PASMA Combined · Manchester
The PASMA combined course in Manchester: Towers for Users and Low Level Access in one day, at our Pendlebury training centre or on your site.
The PASMA combined course in Manchester covers the two kinds of access equipment most interior trades use every week: full mobile towers and low-level platforms such as podiums. Rather than booking two separate courses, delegates cover both in one, with the shared theory taught once.
A dry liner might use a podium for a ceiling line in the morning and a tower for a stairwell void in the afternoon. The risks overlap, but they aren't the same. Podiums get treated as oversized steps, and that's how people get hurt. The combined course teaches the right approach to each.
For towers: assembly and dismantling using 3T and Advance Guardrail, moving, inspection and stabilisation. For low-level access: choosing the right platform, pre-use checks, positioning, and the habits that cause most low-level falls. Each part has its own practical assessment.
Fit-out, M&E and finishing trades working in Manchester's new apartment and office schemes, where both podiums and towers are on site every day.
The combined course runs as a single day at our training centre at Agecroft, Pendlebury, a short drive from Junction 17 of the M60. Pass both parts and you are certified the same day for Towers for Users and Low Level Access, with a five-year PASMA qualification covering both.
There are no prerequisites, so the course is open to beginners. Bring your own PPE for the practical: hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis and gloves. Courses run Monday to Saturday.
For four or more delegates, we can deliver the combined course on your site anywhere in Greater Manchester, using your own towers and podiums if they are suitable. It suits contractors starting on new apartment and office schemes, where both are on site every day.
