PASMA Low Level Access training in Manchester deals with the equipment people tend not to take seriously: podiums, folding platforms and other low-level work platforms. They don't look like work at height, yet low-level falls remain one of the most common causes of serious injury on sites and in workplaces.
The usual causes are overreaching instead of moving the platform, standing on guardrails, using a platform with a gate left open, and working on uneven floors without checking the castors. Each takes seconds to avoid once someone has been shown how.
How to choose the right low-level equipment for the task, how to carry out a pre-use inspection, and how to set up, move and use a platform safely. It's practical and short, and designed to change habits rather than fill a day.
If full mobile towers are part of the job, the combined course adds Towers for Users with shared theory.
Low Level Access is a half-day course at our training centre at Agecroft, Pendlebury, a short drive from Junction 17 of the M60. It covers podiums and folding units with a platform height of up to 2.5 metres. Delegates are certified the same day, and the qualification is valid for five years.
Because it is short and practical, Low Level Access works well on site. For four or more delegates, we can run it at your premises anywhere in Greater Manchester, using the podiums your team already works from. Courses run Monday to Saturday.
