Cookie Policy

Which cookies this site uses, what they do, and how to control them.

This page explains which cookies accesstowers.co.uk uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences between visits, and to gather information about how a site is being used. A cookie cannot run programs or carry viruses.

Cookies this site uses

Strictly necessary cookies. WordPress, the software this site runs on, sets cookies when you log in to an account or leave a comment. These are required for those features to work at all. If you only browse the site, most of these are never set.

Analytics cookies. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and how they arrived. This is aggregate information about site usage. We use it to work out which parts of the site are useful and which are not.

Live chat. LiveChat sets cookies so a conversation stays connected as you move between pages and so we can tell whether you are a returning visitor rather than starting from scratch each time. The chat widget is not loaded at all unless you accept non-essential cookies, so if you decline, none of these are set.

Course booking. Our training booking system (Dante) may set cookies while you are choosing and booking a course date, so your selections are not lost as you move through the process.

Third parties

Some of the cookies above are set by other companies rather than by us, and those companies handle the resulting data under their own terms. The main ones are Google (analytics and tag management) and LiveChat. We do not sell the information these tools collect.

Your choice

When you first visit the site you are asked whether we may use non-essential cookies. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies described above is set until you choose.

If you accept, we use analytics and related cookies as described. If you reject, they stay switched off — we still receive a basic, anonymous count of the page being viewed, but nothing is stored on your device for those purposes and you are not identified across visits.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing permission is as easy as giving it. We will ask again after six months so your choice stays current.

How to control cookies

As well as the choice above, you can accept, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this, usually under Settings, then Privacy. You can also set your browser to warn you before a cookie is stored.

Please be aware that blocking all cookies will affect how many websites work, not just this one. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on your ability to use this site.

Your browser may also offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is currently no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond to it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes or as we add or remove tools. Any changes will appear here.
