PASMA Towers with Bridges in Manchester teaches how to span the space between two towers with a bridging section. It's used when the ground beneath the work has to stay clear, such as over a building entrance that stays open, a pedestrian route, a loading bay or an atrium floor.
A bridge ties two towers together, so loads, bracing and stability have to be considered for the whole structure, not each tower on its own. The course covers planning the span, building both towers to the correct configuration, installing the bridge, and inspecting the finished structure before use.
Towers with Bridges is a specialist module, so delegates need a valid PASMA Towers for Users qualification first.
Towers with Bridges is a one-day course at our training centre at Agecroft, Pendlebury, a short drive from Junction 17 of the M60. Pass, and you are certified the same day with a PASMA qualification valid for five years.
You need a valid Towers for Users qualification, which we will check when you book, and your own PPE for the practical: hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis and gloves. Courses run Monday to Saturday.
Bridged towers are common in buildings that stay open while work goes on, such as shopping centres, offices and stations. For four or more delegates, we can train your team at your own premises anywhere in Greater Manchester.
