PASMA Towers for Users · Manchester
PASMA Towers for Users training in Manchester: build, move, inspect and dismantle a mobile access tower safely, using 3T and Advance Guardrail methods.
PASMA Towers for Users in Manchester is the course most delegates come to us for, and the card most Greater Manchester sites check before a mobile tower goes up. Under the Work at Height Regulations 2005, whoever assembles, alters, moves or inspects a tower has to be competent. On site, that means a PASMA card that's in date.
The course covers both recognised methods. With 3T, Through the Trap, the operative fits the guardrails for the next level while sitting in the trapdoor. With Advance Guardrail, the guardrail goes up from the level below before anyone climbs. More Manchester principal contractors now specify one method or the other in the RAMS, so knowing both keeps you employable.
Most of the day is spent building, moving and taking down towers, with an instructor watching the details that matter: brace sequence, stabilisers, castor locks, platform positions. A short theory test and a practical assessment finish the course.
If your work includes stairwells, overhangs or long runs, the specialist modules build on this course: Towers on Stairs, Towers with Cantilevers, Towers with Bridges and Linked Towers.
Towers for Users is a one-day course at our training centre at Agecroft, Pendlebury, a short drive from Junction 17 of the M60. Courses run Monday to Saturday, and you are certified the same day you pass, with a PASMA qualification valid for five years.
There are no prerequisites. The course suits complete beginners, experienced tower users who have never been formally trained, and anyone renewing an expired qualification. Bring your own PPE for the practical: hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis and gloves.
For four or more delegates, we can run Towers for Users at your premises anywhere in Greater Manchester. You will need a suitable 3T or Advance Guardrail tower and space to build it, and we will confirm the details when you book.
