PASMA Towers with Cantilevers in Manchester covers the configuration used when the work sits above something you can't stand a tower on: plant and machinery, a conservatory, a shop counter, a void or a canal-side edge. The platform extends beyond the base, and that changes how the whole tower behaves.
Once a platform overhangs, stability depends on ballast, bracing and the correct components, and the margin for error shrinks. The course covers how cantilevered towers are designed to balance, how to build one in the correct sequence, how to position ballast, and the checks to make before anyone steps out over the drop.
This is a specialist module, so delegates need a valid PASMA Towers for Users qualification first. We run both from Pendlebury.
Towers with Cantilevers is a one-day course at our training centre at Agecroft, Pendlebury, a short drive from Junction 17 of the M60. Delegates who pass are certified the same day, and the PASMA qualification is valid for five years.
You will need a valid Towers for Users qualification, so have the details to hand when you book. On the day, bring your own PPE: hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis and gloves. Courses run Monday to Saturday.
For four or more delegates, we can run cantilever training at your premises anywhere in Greater Manchester, as long as you have the right tower components and enough space.
