Single width tower hire in London solves one problem better than anything else in the fleet: getting a working platform into a space that will not take a standard tower. At 0.72m across, the frame clears a domestic doorway, runs down a corridor and drops into the gap between fixed plant.
Most jobs that go wrong on site do so at the door, not at height. A 1.35m double width tower has to be dismantled and rebuilt every time it changes room; a single width goes through built, on its castors, moved by one person. Over a week of second-fix work in an occupied building that difference is measured in days, not minutes. The frame is aluminium, manufactured to EN 1004-1, and every hire ships with guardrails, toe-boards, stabilisers and lockable castors.
Platform heights run from 1.0m to 7.9m in fifteen steps, so you hire the height the job actually needs rather than the tallest tower on the yard. Working height is roughly two metres above the platform. Anything above 7.9m moves you to a double width tower, which reaches 12.1m.

Under the Work at Height Regulations 2005 the person assembling the tower needs to be competent, which in practice means a valid PASMA Towers for Users card — we run that course from our Croydon centre.
