PASMA Towers for Managers training is a half-day course for those who oversee mobile access tower work rather than carry it out. Because managers and supervisors carry legal duties under the Work at Height Regulations, this course focuses on compliance, risk management and recognising safe practice.
The course covers the Work at Height Regulations and your duties under them, the PASMA Code of Practice, risk assessment and management, selecting the right equipment, safe systems of work, inspection regimes and record-keeping. For example, you'll learn how to recognise safe versus unsafe practice on site. As a result, you'll have the knowledge to supervise tower operations confidently and keep your teams and your organisation safe and legal.
Assessment is by a theory paper. Once you pass, you'll receive a PASMA qualification valid for 5 years. In addition, this course complements Towers for Users — many organisations put operatives through Towers for Users and their supervisors through Towers for Managers.
