GRP fibreglass tower hire exists for one reason: the tower does not conduct electricity. Where an aluminium tower would be a genuine hazard — near live conductors, in substations, around overhead lines or in testing environments — a fibreglass frame is the safe choice.
The structural components are glass-reinforced plastic rather than metal, so the tower itself does not provide a path to earth. That property is the whole point of the product and it is why utilities, electrical contractors and rail maintenance teams hire them. In every other respect it behaves like a normal access tower: guardrails, toe-boards, lockable castors and a working platform.
We hire single width (0.85m) and double width (1.45m) frames, with platform heights up to 12.2m. Note that 0.85m is wider than our aluminium single width, so it will not necessarily pass through the same doorways. Users still need a valid PASMA qualification, which we train for.
