PASMA Towers for Users training is the flagship one-day mobile access tower course, taken by more than 70,000 delegates every year. Because most UK sites now insist on it, the qualification has become the recognised standard for anyone who works with mobile access towers.
Over a single day, you'll learn how to safely assemble, use, alter, move, inspect and dismantle mobile access towers built to BS EN 1004. You'll practise current best-practice methods — for example, Advanced Guardrail (AGR) and 3T (Through The Trap). In addition, the course covers the Work at Height Regulations 2005, the PASMA Code of Practice, hazard awareness, and completing tower inspection records. The day is delivered by our experienced instructors as a hybrid of classroom theory and hands-on practical training, either at our Croydon centre or on site at your premises.
Both a theory assessment (multiple-choice) and a practical assessment are included on the day. Once you pass, you'll receive a PASMA certificate and card, valid for 5 years and recognised across the construction, maintenance and facilities industries. As a result, Towers for Users also unlocks our specialist courses — Towers on Stairs, Cantilevers, Bridges and Linked Towers.

It's a one-day course combining classroom theory with hands-on practical training. You're assessed by a multiple-choice theory test and a practical assessment where you demonstrate safe assembly, inspection and dismantling of a tower.
No. There are no prerequisites — the course is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced tower users and those renewing an expired qualification. A basic understanding of working at height is helpful but not required.
Successful delegates receive a PASMA qualification and certificate, valid for 5 years and recognised across the UK construction and maintenance industries.
Please bring your own PPE for the practical session — hard hat, safety boots, hi-vis and gloves. For onsite training at your premises, a suitable AGR/3T mobile access tower and space are required (full details are in your booking confirmation).
Yes. Towers for Users is the prerequisite for our specialist courses — Towers on Stairs, Towers with Cantilevers, Towers with Bridges and Linked Towers. Once you hold a valid Towers for Users qualification, you can add any of these. Call 0208 665 1181 and we'll build the right plan.
