PASMA Approved Training Centre
Specialist PASMA Towers with Cantilevers training — extend the platform over an obstacle where a standard tower can't reach. Builds on your Towers for Users qualification, at our Croydon centre or on site, with a 5-year PASMA qualification.
PASMA Towers with Cantilevers training is a specialist course for extending a tower's working platform out over an obstacle — fixed machinery, plant or an obstruction — where a standard tower can't sit directly beneath the work. Because cantilever builds change how a tower behaves, this course builds directly on your existing Towers for Users skills.
Through classroom theory and hands-on practical training, you'll learn the techniques and enabling components needed to build and use cantilever configurations safely. In addition, you'll cover the Work at Height Regulations, the PASMA Code of Practice, the specific stability considerations of cantilever builds, pre-use and post-assembly inspections, and the 3T (Through The Trapdoor) and Advanced Guardrail (AGR) safe build methods.
You must hold a valid PASMA Towers for Users qualification to attend, because this course builds directly on those core skills. Assessment is by a multiple-choice theory paper and a practical skills assessment. Once you pass, you'll receive a PASMA qualification with the cantilever category added, valid for 5 years.

How to safely assemble, use, move, inspect and dismantle towers with a cantilever — where the platform extends over an obstacle. You'll learn the techniques, enabling components and stability considerations involved, plus the 3T and AGR safe build methods.

When you need to work directly above an obstacle — fixed plant, machinery or an obstruction — that stops a standard tower sitting beneath the work. The cantilever extends the platform out over it.
Typically half a day to one day, combining classroom theory with practical training, assessed by a multiple-choice theory paper and a practical skills assessment.
A PASMA qualification with the cantilever category added, valid for 5 years.
