PASMA Approved Training Centre
PASMA Work at Height Essentials — a half-day classroom course covering the law, regulations, good practice and safe use of access equipment. No practical, no prerequisites. At our Croydon centre or on site, with a 5-year PASMA qualification.
PASMA Work at Height Essentials is a half-day, classroom-based theory course covering the essential points for anyone working at height. Because it has no practical element and no prerequisites, it's an accessible first step — and a solid grounding for managers, operatives and anyone else with duties under the Work at Height Regulations.
The course provides vital information about the safe use of mobile access towers, plus an overview of all forms of access equipment represented by the Access Industry Forum (AIF) — for example, scaffolds, MEWPs, suspended platforms, ladders and steps. In addition, it covers current legislation and guidance from PASMA, employer and employee responsibilities, fall protection, fragile surfaces, risk assessment, and emergency and rescue planning, together with recognising safe versus unsafe practice.
Assessment is by a closed-book test with an 80% pass mark. Once you pass, you'll receive a PASMA qualification valid for 5 years. However, please note this course does not cover assembling, altering or dismantling towers — for hands-on tower training, take Towers for Users.
With more than 20 years of training experience, Access Towers helps over 350 trainees each month gain work-at-height qualifications across London and the South East. Moreover, as a Top 5% UK PASMA centre we run PASMA training courses Monday to Sunday, so you can book a date that suits you — whether you're training yourself, your team, or someone else. And if you need equipment as well as training, we also offer scaffold tower hire with next-day delivery.
