PASMA Low Level Access training is a half-day course covering the safe assembly, use, movement, inspection and dismantling of low-level access units — podiums and folding platforms with a maximum platform height of 2.5m (to PAS 250). Because it focuses on lighter, lower work, it's the quickest route to a recognised qualification where a full tower isn't required.
The course combines classroom theory with hands-on practical training. For example, you'll cover the Work at Height Regulations, the PASMA Code of Practice, pre-use checks, inspection records and hazard awareness. In addition, you'll practise the safe assembly and use of podium steps and folding units, so you can work confidently and compliantly at low level.
Assessment is by a theory test (80% pass mark) together with a practical assessment. Once you pass, you'll receive a PASMA qualification valid for 5 years, recognised across the retail, facilities, maintenance and construction industries. However, if your work also involves standard mobile access towers, consider the Combined course — it gains both qualifications in a single day.
