An IPAF qualification — the iconic PAL card — is widely required on UK construction sites and demonstrates compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. We run courses Monday to Sunday with regular weekend dates, and successful delegates receive a same-day ePAL digital card, valid for 5 years.
Many operators combine categories (for example 3A and 3B) to cover both scissor and boom machines in a single day. We also offer onsite IPAF training at your premises for groups, anywhere across London and the South East. Most operator categories take half a day to one day, including theory and a practical assessment. Combined categories (e.g. 3A and 3B) are typically one full day.
It depends on the machine: 3A covers mobile vertical lifts (scissor lifts), 3B covers mobile booms (cherry pickers), and 1B covers static booms. Many operators take 3A and 3B together to cover both. Call us if you're unsure and we'll advise.
A single category (3A, 3B or 1B) starts from £160pp +VAT. Two categories from £210pp +VAT, and all three from £300pp +VAT. Group discounts are available — call 0208 665 1181.
Successful delegates receive a same-day IPAF ePAL (digital PAL card), valid for 5 years. A physical card can be requested.
